Units
There are different types of units you can create, each with their own strong and weak points. The units are explained below;
Builder
You start a level with four of these guys. Builders are essential if you want to grow, since only they can create new buildings for you. Their combat skills are another story; not designed to fight, these will fall pretty quickly to other types of units.
Warrior
These excel in hand to hand combat, an impressive level of health and power allow these to defeat multiple units in close range situations.
Magician
Magicians have very poor close range fighting skills, and will lose to even a builder. Magicians use long range attacks to fight and can kill enemies before they get close. Once a magician is caught in hand to hand combat, it will not be able to use its strong attacks and will fall easily. Magicians can only use magic for a limited amount of time.
Defender
With far more health than other units, Defenders can last a long time in a battle and can buy you some time when you are being invaded by an enemy. Defenders are not good fighters, but if they are not in battle, they can use magical strength to restore health of nearby units who are running out of HP.
Runner
Runners have fair combat skills and can even use attack spells, although not as strong as the magician. Runners can travel much faster than other units and can provide faster backup to an army, or be used for a surprise ambush
Miner
The worst unit as far as fighting is concerned. Miners scout the lands and collect platinum which can be used to upgrade your buildings. Miners are the only way of collecting platinum, so you should have at least one if you want to maximize your buildings efficiency.
Units stats
Your units have stats which measure their potential. You can see the stats of a unit by selecting it. There are 5 stats.
HP (Health Points): The life force of your units. HP is lost when a unit is attacked and the unit will die if it reaches zero. Lost HP will slowly recover.
EP (Energy Points): Units use energy to perform special actions. Builders use EP to build and will become slower at building once EP runs out. Magicians, Defenders and Runners use EP for their magic skills and will not use magic when EP is depleted. EP also restores, but very slowly.
Pow (Power): The hand to hand fighting strength of the unit. This value is deducted from enemies HP whenever they attack them.
Mag (Magic): The strength of magical attacks/restore from the Magician, Defender and Runner. Higher Mag means more magic damage.
Spd (Speed): The running speed of the unit. Higher speed allows your units to arrive at a destination faster.
